The end of July provides a sudden pause in gardening ‘work’; time to relish one’s co-creation with nature. Watering and deadheading keep it lush and a pleasure to see from inside even on a rainy day. That is what inspired my plans, that and a visit to Giverny, Monet’s green fingered work of art.
“Time to paint some of these beauties,” he’d say.
